Terms of Use

By accessing or using Bucx's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bucx.

To use Bucx's services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Complete any identity verification we require before accessing certain features
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

When you create an account with Bucx, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

You may register using your email address or a supported sign-in provider. To help keep your account safe, we may send security alerts when we detect a sign-in from a new device or location. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

Because Bucx provides regulated financial and payment services, you may be required to complete identity verification (Know Your Customer, or "KYC") before opening an account or accessing certain features. We use trusted third-party identity verification partners to confirm your identity. By using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate identifying information and documentation, including government-issued identification
• Complete additional checks where required, such as a live photo or biometric verification
• Allow us and our partners to verify your identity and screen against sanctions and anti-money-laundering (AML) requirements

We may limit, suspend, decline, or reverse transactions, or restrict or close accounts, where verification is incomplete, fails, or where we are required to do so by law or by our partners.

Bucx provides financial and payment services including but not limited to:

• A virtual USD account for holding and receiving funds
• Sending and receiving money, including via shareable Bucx Link and payment invoices
• Depositing, holding, sending, and withdrawing stablecoins and other supported cryptocurrencies across supported blockchain networks
• Converting between supported currencies at prevailing exchange rates
• Withdrawals and payouts to supported local bank accounts

You agree to use these services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. Available features may vary based on your location, verification status, and applicable law.

Bucx Link lets you send funds to someone by sharing a link together with a claim code. When you create a Bucx Link:

• The recipient must enter the correct claim code and provide valid payout details to receive the funds
• Each link has an expiry date, after which it can no longer be claimed
• Funds from unclaimed or expired links are returned to the sender's Bucx balance
• You are responsible for sharing the link and claim code only with your intended recipient — anyone who has both may be able to claim the funds

Where you deposit, hold, send, or receive cryptocurrency through Bucx, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Blockchain transactions are irreversible once broadcast to the network and cannot be cancelled or refunded by Bucx
• You are responsible for providing the correct wallet address and selecting the correct network; funds sent to an incorrect address or network may be permanently lost
• Blockchain networks may charge network (gas) fees, and processing times depend on network conditions outside our control
• The value of cryptocurrencies and stablecoins can fluctuate, and we do not guarantee any particular value or exchange rate
• We rely on third-party blockchain infrastructure and are not responsible for delays, failures, or losses caused by those networks

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative activities
• Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Provide false information or attempt to circumvent our identity verification or security controls
• Use another person's identity, payment, or payout details without authorization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from our services
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use our services to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion

Bucx may charge fees for certain services, and third parties such as blockchain networks and banking partners may charge their own fees. Applicable fees and exchange rates are shown to you before you confirm a transaction. By using our services, you agree to pay all applicable fees. We reserve the right to:

• Change our fees at any time with prior notice
• Deduct fees directly from your account balance
• Charge additional fees for expedited or special services

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by law.

When making transactions through Bucx:

• You authorize us to process transactions on your behalf
• You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds in your account
• Transactions may be subject to verification and approval
• Processing times may vary depending on the transaction type and, for crypto and bank transfers, on the relevant network or bank
• Exchange rates are determined at the time of transaction
• You must verify all details, including recipient, wallet address, network, and payout information, before confirming

Payments, transfers, and completed transactions are generally final. Cryptocurrency and blockchain transactions cannot be reversed once confirmed, and bank payouts sent using the details you provided cannot be recalled by Bucx once processed. You are responsible for the accuracy of all recipient and payout details. Where a transfer fails or is returned to us, we will credit the relevant amount back to your Bucx balance. If you believe a transaction was unauthorized or made in error, contact us immediately and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

To deliver our services, Bucx works with third-party providers, including payment and settlement processors, banking partners, identity verification providers, and blockchain networks and infrastructure providers. Your use of the related features may also be subject to those providers' terms. While we take reasonable care in selecting the partners we work with, we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

All content, features, and functionality of Bucx's services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and design, are owned by Bucx or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of our services without our express written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bucx shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions, delays, or technical malfunctions
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Losses arising from blockchain networks, incorrect wallet addresses or payout details, or actions or omissions of third parties

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bucx and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiations between you and Bucx
• Mediation by a mutually agreed-upon mediator (if negotiations fail)
• Binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules

You agree to waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Nigeria.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services at any time, with or without cause or notice, for:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Failure to complete or pass identity verification
• Prolonged inactivity
• Requests by law enforcement or government agencies

Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease. We will make reasonable efforts to return any remaining balance in your account, subject to applicable fees and legal obligations.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our website or through email. Your continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using our services.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies or agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bucx regarding your use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
